CM Punk News: Chris Leben Thinks He Could 'KO' Punk, President Dana White Gives Update On Punk's Injury Situation

Retired middleweight Chris Leben is verbally attacking former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar turned UFC fighter CM Punk, while president Dana White spoke in detail about his new fighter's injury update.

Leben has built himself a reputation of being one of the grittiest fighters in the UFC, who would stand and bang against opponents. He had been through a good number of wars inside the Octagon, against the toughest opponents, such as Wanderlei Silva, Brian Stann, and Anderson Silva, among others.

A cast member of the original Ultimate Fighter reality series, which aired in 2005, "The Crippler" retired from professional mixed martial arts competition in December 2013 at UFC 168, after picking up his fourth straight loss against fellow TUF alum Uriah Hall. He left the sport with a record of 22-11 (with 17 victories by stoppage).

But most recently, Leben once again wore his fighter hat and began throwing tirades through social media. In a tweet he posted on Monday, the retired fighter went on to challenge Punk (Phil Brooks in real life), whose name he misspelled.

"Who wants to see me knock out CF Punk? I think Id f*** him up," Leben wrote.

The 35-year old former fighter has been in trouble with the law as of late. In a September report by Bloody Elbow, Leben was sentenced to 120 days in jail after pleading guilty for breaking into his ex-wife's apartment in June.

Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White recently revealed more details regarding Punk's injury and debut. Punk was officially signed by the UFC in December 2014, but has yet to make his first ever Octagon appearance. He was slated to fight this month, but an injury during training derailed all his plans.

In his recent appearance at the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which aired right after UFC 193 on November 15th, White did not provide an exact date for Punk's debut, but did reveal how his new fighter dealt with his injury.

"So what happened was, [Punk] got hurt," White said. "He hurt his shoulder and he was f****g devastated. He was going to have to have surgery, but he didn't. He actually lucked out and got out [of surgery] with therapy. And so he went through his therapy and he's coming back now."
