CM Punk Returning to WWE? Unlikely to Return Due to Bad Relationship

WWE Superstar CM Punk left the franchise early this year and showed no signs of returning. Fans have been speculating since then about his motivations for leaving. Until recently, Punk had revealed his side of the story about why he left the WWE, saying that health problems was what mainly drove him to ultimately leave.

"Punk said that the main reason that he left the company after the Royal Rumble was due to injuries, notably broken ribs sustained at the hands of Ryback. He also worked through a concussion and fever all while his checks got smaller," sources said.

"He suffered a concussion early in the 2014 Royal Rumble match and still worked over 40 minutes. Despite suffering a concussion, he still passed a concussion test while paying little to no attention to it. He scoffed at the test, saying it was bulls---," the insider added.

Additionally, Punk had also criticized the WWE medical staff saying that he was unknowingly wrestling with a staph infection, which he only discovered after he visited an outside doctor. Among others are differing opinions between fellow superstar Triple H.

Still, probably the biggest reason for Punk's dropping out is his relationship with WWE. Even more surprising for fans is to hear Punk mention that he has fallen out of love with wrestling, this coming from a superstar who is considered as one of the most brilliant wrestling minds in the business.

Being as such, it's difficult to tell whether him leaving the WWE is a strategic move for the next major storyline or is seriously the real thing. In all possibility, fans may have seen the last of CM Punk, with the superstar never to return. At least it leaves little hope that – since wrestling has seen crazier things – Punk could make a giant comeback.
