'Cobalt' Release Date, Gameplay: Game to Be Available on Feb. 2
"Cobalt" will finally be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Steam on Feb. 2.
The action-based multiplayer game will finally be available for $19.99 at the Xbox Games Store and Steam on Feb. 2. As of now, "Cobalt" is still being developed by Oxeye Game Studio and it will be published by Mojang, according to Win Beta.
"Cobalt" comes after "Agent Cobalt" and will include several game modes. This will include Capture the Plug, TeamStrike, Deathmatch, Adventure, and Survival. In the Survival mode, players will be tasked to shoot down a series of waves of enemies. The difficulty will increase as the game moves on. While they can opt to play solo, they can also increase their chances of surviving by choosing the local co-op, Tech Times reports.
It is worth noting that players will be able to upgrade their weapons and gears all throughout the campaign. Plus, they can enjoy playing some of the mini-games such as dancing and taming pets.
In addition, "Cobalt" will include an in-game map editor. Based on Mojang's estimation, it will take around eight hours for players to finish all of the challenges in the game, the report relays.
Players will be given special abilities, such as the super slo-mo bullet time, which will allow them to repel bullets and inflict super punch on objects to cause severe damage and punch explosives. Combining the moves will allow the player to unlock an advanced playing level.
Moreover, "Cobalt" is expected to have speed and combat challenges to give the players a more intense gaming experience by challenging their friends to beating their high scores and become the fastest-rolling cyborg.
Another interesting feature of the upcoming game is the Steam Workshop support. This will allow gamers to craft their own levels and even play on levels that other players have created.
"Cobalt" will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 30, and Steam beginning Feb. 2.
