'Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~' Episode 2 Spoilers: Cardia Begins Life with Legendary Fictional Characters; What Secrets Does Isaac Beckford Have?
Cardia's life is full of mysteries, but she may have also found the right people to help her find the answers on the Japanese steampunk romance anime series, "Code:Realize: Sousei no Himegimi (Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~)."
After spending the past two years locked up in a mansion, fully believing herself a monster that should never be let loose into the world, Cardia has finally found freedom in the company of a merry band of famous fictional characters consisting of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief created by French writer, Maurice Leblanc; Impey Barbicane, the weapons specialist in 1865 novel, "From the Earth to the Moon" by Jules Verne; and Victor Frankenstein, the scientist and titular character from the classic horror novel, "Frankenstein," by Mary Shelley.
There is also the landowner, Count Saint-Germain, who was apparently responsible for bringing the three aforementioned characters together. In the series of novels written by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Saint was a vampire born about 4,000 years ago. The character was inspired by his historical namesake, who was a mysterious figure in 18th century France.
These are the people who will be changing Cardia's life and perspectives in various ways as they work together to unravel the mysteries surrounding Cardia's very existence, while also thwarting the terrorist plot being cooked up by the villainous organization known as Twilight.
Cardia also happens to have her father's most significant invention embedded on her body: Horologium, also known as the eternally beating heart. This particular device has the capability of infinitely creating massive amounts of energy and is also coveted by many people for their own personal gains. This also seems to be the source of the poison cruising through Cardia's body, which gives her the ability to destroy anything and anyone she touches.
Will they be able to find Cardia's lost memories, and thus rid herself of this poison that is keeping her from fully enjoying her life? A brief after-credit scene at the end of the premiere episode showed Isaac Beckford, Cardia's father, walking through some dark alley in industrial London. What will his possible appearance in the next episode reveal about his true intentions? Could he be working for or against the terrorist organization?
