'Continuum' Season 4 News, Spoilers: Cast Member Aleks Paunovic Says Rollins Is A Soldier Who Get Things Done
This season may be the last run for "Continuum" but that doesn't mean that the hit Canadian-produced science-fiction drama TV series will be holding back when it comes to giving its audiences a hell lot of surprises.
One of the biggest things that happened in the show was the introduction of Rollins (Aleks Paunovic) and the other five armored Marines from the year 2039. Debuting in the Season 4 opener titled "Lost Hours," the army from the future has been causing a lot of headaches to Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols).
Giving his personal insight on his role, Paunovic told SciFi and TV Talk (via Enstars) during an interview that Rollins is just but a soldier who comes to the present to carry out some particular orders. Their zeal to the mission could bring woe to those who oppose them including the City Protective Services officer.
"There's a quiet confidence amongst this band of soldiers that are basically capable of mass destruction," the actor said (via Enstars).
"At the end of the day he's got a job to do and a cause he believes in, so the only real tricky part of playing someone like this was trying to keep him contained and focused on his business," he went on to say about his character.
Nonetheless, Paunovic recognized the importance of team play in achieving their goals. It wasn't just about any one person, he said, and added that it is essential for them to grow together as a team.
The actor however, pointed out that it's a challenge, a "really great [acting] exercise," for him to carry out the silent-type role when he himself is quite an "expressive guy." But the overall experience of being Rollins is an enjoyable one.
Besides the SyFy drama, Paunovic is also slated to appear opposite Martin Sheen in the upcoming film, "Badge of Honor."
For the meantime, don't miss out on the intense developments of "Continuum" Season 4 which airs on Fridays at 11 p.m. on SyFy.
