Corsair One Release Date, Specs, Price News: All-New Quiet and Compact Gaming PC Now Available for Preorder

Corsair, more popularly known as a manufacturer of computer peripherals, has released its first fully built gaming PC. The Corsair One delivers premium performance despite having a small form factor and comes with cutting-edge technologies from the company to maximize the user's overall gaming experience.

"With over 22 years powering the world's best PCs, we knew now was the right time to bring together all our knowledge to create a truly exceptional PC. Corsair One is the result — unbelievably compact, quiet and with incredible performance, it changes what people will expect from a high-end PC," said Andy Paul, founder and CEO of Corsair.

The Corsair One PC is powered by the seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7700 central processing unit (CPU) with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. It is accompanied by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics processing unit (GPU) with 8 GB of dedicated video random-access memory (RAM). The graphics card has a base clock speed of 1.53 GHz and boost clock speed of 1.72 GHz.

There is also 16 GB of RAM, 240 GB of solid-state drive (SSD) and 1 TB of hard disk drive (HDD).

The all-new gaming rig features a liquid-cooling system that helps lower temperatures and maintain a quiet operation, and, in turn, this allows the CPU and GPU to clock higher for longer periods of time.

In terms of design, the Corsair One has a sleek black aircraft-grade aluminum chassis with customizable LED detailing. Dimension-wise, it is 200 x 176 x 380 mm or about 12 liters in volume.

Other notable features include the Windows 10 Home operating system (OS) as well as virtual reality (VR) and 4K gaming compatibility. Furthermore, the gaming PC is also easily upgradable so users won't have to worry about their rigs being outmoded.

The Corsair is priced at $1,799.99 and is available for preorder. It is expected to arrive in late March.

Those who are not satisfied with the standard build can choose the PRO version ($2,199.99) instead. It features the GeForce GTX 1080 GPU with 8 GB video RAM (VRAM), 480 GB of SSD and 2 TB of HDD. There's also a PRO version that's a Corsair webstore exclusive. It is priced at $2,299.99 and comes with 960 GB of SSD memory.

Lastly, the PRO version with the newly released GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card and 960 GB of SSD memory will be released at a later date. It will retail for $2,599.99.
