'Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn' Season 6 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Big Ang Talks Rocky Marriage
VH1's "Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn" begins airing its sixth season today, and with the previews that tease a season with so much learning and drama, the five big couples, starting with Angela "Big Ang" Raiola and husband Neil Murphy, will need to detail each of their struggles.
In a preview clip for season 6, Dr. Jenn Mann, the show's host and counselor, talks to the couples and will have them give a detailed account of the deepest and darkest moments in their relationships. "It's important for us to explore those moments, because a lot of the time, couples don't know how to talk through those moments," she said.
Big Ang then takes the spotlight and says her relationship with Murphy started to get rocky when they were building their house. While building a home is supposed to be a fun experience that should bring a couple much closer, the financial issues came between Big Ang and Murphy.
Murphy explains that the money talks came from the fact that Big Ang makes more money than him. Big Ang stars in "Mob Wives" and is a celebrity, while Murphy works for the city government.
While Murphy explains his side, Big Ang keeps interrupting and Dr. Jenn identifies her move as a reaction to the pain she felt while on "rock bottom" with her husband. However, the counselor warns Big Ang that she should somehow learn to listen to what Murphy has to say, in order for them to fix their broken relationship.
The sneak peek also sheds some light on Stapp's relationship with Nesheiwat wherein the singer shares how the rockiest part of his marriage started from a "partying binge."
The upcoming season stars talent agent Janice Dickson and partner Dr. Robert Gerner, Big Ang and Murphy, rapper Joe Budden and girlfriend Kaylin Garcia, "Creed" lead vocalist Scott Stapp and wife Jaclyn Nesheiwat - Miss New York U.S.A. 2004 winner, and "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Carmen Carrera and husband Adrian Torres.
The sixth season of "Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn" airs Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10 p.m. on VH1.
