Courtney Stodden Debut as Singer Cancelled Out of 'Fear'? (VIDEO)
Courtney Stodden's live debut as a singer was thwarted after representatives decided that the 18 year-old was not a "good fit" for the establishment.
Stodden is most know for her controversial marriage to Doug Hutchison, 51, when she was only 16 years old. But the now 18-year-old was apparently looking to change that with a new singing career. Her career plans, however, have been put on hold after her live debut was put to rest prematurely.
The star was to sing one her latest songs, "Reality" in a local L.A. bar called the Abbey while also performing a pole dance.

"I'm super excited, it's going to be such a fun night," Stodden said during an interview with E! News earlier this week. "You can expect to see a whole lot of sexy -- me singing live and super-hot backup dancers!"
Stodden also gushed about it being her first live performance.
"I wouldn't say I'm nervous, but since it's my first live performance, I'm feeling a tad anxious- but in a good way!" she said.
But Stodden's dreams were quickly crushed after she received learned that her performance had been "abruptly cancelled."
It was "unclear" why the performance was cancelled according to Stodden's reps, who spoke with TMZ, "but they believe the higher ups who own the place pulled the plug on her out of 'fear.'"
Stodden became famous after appearing on the VH1 reality series "Couple Therapy." She is currently a cast member of the second season of the show. But some are skeptical of the reality star's ability to sing.
"How much would someone be able to make if they sold ear plugs outside of the bar on the night of her singing "performance" debut?" one user taunted on the Huffington Post blog after learning of the cancelled performance.
In 2010 she released a video titled "Don't Put It On Me" which revealed some questionable skill.
