'Crackdown 3' Release Date, News: Game Is Going to Be 10 Times Better Than Previous Titles
It has been quite some time since fans have heard anything about the development of the Xbox-exclusive title, "Crackdown 3." After a statement from Microsoft Studios, however, it looks like all the silence is due to the developers really working hard on exceeding previous installments.
In the latest "This Week on Xbox" hosted by Larry Hryb, Microsoft Studios general manager Shannon Loftis has expressed his excitement, teasing fans about what's in store for the third game in the "Crackdown" series. He briefly mentioned that almost everything is heightened, including enemies, weapons and vehicles.
"Well, if you remember how great the original 'Crackdowns' were, with the big open cities, and as you leveled up, your cars and weapons leveled up, imagine all that times 10," Loftis said. "'Crackdown 3' is all about the boom."
This is the latest solid information that fans have gathered revolving around the development of the much-awaited exclusive game. It doesn't say much about the specifics of where it is already at the moment, but the fact that there is good feedback means that it is going well as planned.
It can be recalled months ago that the Xbox gaming community was shaken with the news that the supposedly Xbox-only game "Scalebound" was axed from being introduced on the console. This drew many speculations and considering how compelling and eye-catching the trailers were, gamers were concerned that "Crackdown 3" would suffer the same fate.
Fortunately, doubts and agitations were pacified after the official Twitter account of the game responded to concerned netizens, saying that the community can rest assured "Crackdown 3" is alive and well. Moreover, they promised that updates will be shared in the future.
Hopefully, there will be more information in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 (E3 2017). For now, fans will have to wait since "Crackdown 3" is expected to be released within this year.
