'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 2 Spoilers: Rebecca and Valencia To Renew Friendship? Josh and Valencia Do A Love Dance

Since they are now both ex-girlfriends, Rebecca and Valencia share something in common

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" has always spiced up its episodes with a wide range of musical numbers and it will not be any different for the upcoming season. Two cast members have been hinting on Twitter in the past weeks how they have been doing in their ballet training.

A special ballet duet

Vincent Rodriguez III, who plays Josh Chan, and Gabrielle Ruiz, as his ex-girlfriend Valencia, appear to be preparing for a special ballet duet in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2. They have been telling their Twitter followers how challenging their ballet classes have been.

In the previous season of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend", Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) may have won the battle for Josh's heart but the war is definitely not over as far as Valencia is concerned. Ruiz has been promoted to series regular ahead of the upcoming season.

According to Ruiz, while in the middle of filming "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 1, Rachel, who is also the series creator, told her that she was sad about Rebecca and Valencia's short-lived friendship. Ruiz felt the same and added that she always hoped the two get another chance to work things out between them.

Two crazy ex-girlfriends

Since the two are now both ex-girlfriends in Season 2, they have something in common. During the previous season, Valencia made Rebecca's life a living hell. But, that is not to say that Rebecca did not do her own share of raising hell herself.

If Valencia will still be around, it could mean through their ballet duet that the ex couple will still be in touch with each other even after their break-up. Valencia has kept the viewers' toes tapping with past musical numbers like "Women Gotta Stick Together" and "I'm So Good At Yoga".

Suffering from identity crisis

When "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 returns, Rebecca will still be dealing with her identity crisis. EP Aline Brosh McKenna revealed that Rebecca's behavior will have a huge effect on the other characters on the show. They will also experience the same sort of identity issues.

McKenna added that among the characters who have confirmed their return in the upcoming "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" are Aidra Levine, who played a lawyer at Rebecca's law firm in New York and Tovah Feldshuh as Rebecca's mother.

The show runner confirmed that storylines for the two characters are being worked on but details of the characters were not revealed. Perhaps, these are among the things fans of the show should look forward to next season.

Fairy tale ending

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" is the story of Rebecca Bloom and her ex, Josh Chan. She left her life in New York for West Covina, California. In the course of trying to win back Josh, she met Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin), who eventually became her best friend and Greg Serrano (Santino Fontana), who developed complicated feelings for Rebecca.

In the Season 1 finale, Rebecca's love story had its fairy tale ending when Josh decided to get back with her. He told her that his relationship with Valencia was over.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 premieres on October 21 on The CW.
