'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 3 News: Rebecca Wants Revenge in New Trailer

Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) wants payback in the latest teaser for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 3.

Season 2 ended with Josh and Rebecca's wedding day. However, Josh was having doubts about their union, so he turned to his friend Father Brah (Rene Gube) for advice. He later decided to become a celibate priest, leaving Rebecca alone at the altar and embarrassing her in front of their closest family and friends. The finale paved the way for an angry and vengeful Rebecca, who will be making her debut this season.

In the latest trailer for season 3, the jilted bride changed her wedding dress into a white robe and hat. By the looks of things, she still has not forgotten Josh's last-minute disappearing act. She does not say anything in the clip, though her facial reaction suggests Josh is in for a tall glass of vengeance.

While Rebecca deals with her recent heartbreak, the series will put more focus on the character's mental health. She will also be officially diagnosed this season, according to showrunner Aline Brosh McKenna. "We're really going to explore that in a very, very specific way," she told TV Guide. "It's something we've done a ton of research on," she continued. How the diagnosis will affect Rebecca's life as she moves forward remains to be seen.

Last month, it was revealed that singer Josh Groban will be appearing as a guest star for season 3. The chart-topping crooner has been tapped to play a "mysterious and helpful stranger." Although further details about his character were not yet revealed, Bloom confirmed that Groban will sing during his appearance. It's also not clear whether Groban's character will be a potential love interest for Rebecca.

The third season of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" premieres Friday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
