'Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders' Episode 8 Spoilers Dished Out; Garrett Conflicted If Son Should Follow His Footsteps

CBS' newest action drama TV series offering "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 1 returns this week with a brand new episode that will find the International Response Team heading down to Mexico to solve yet another case. Meanwhile, the show is already drawing near to its season finale and fans will finally get to see Jack Garrett's (Gary Sinise) family.

First off, the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "De Los Inocentes," indicated that the IRT will be called upon to look into the case of a woman who got murdered while vacationing with her family in Mexico. The team has reasons to believe that there is some foul play going on.

The promo video teases some chilling moments that are to be expected in the upcoming episode. The clip reveals a family consisting of a mother and two children enjoying some sun in the Latino haven. But their vacation quickly turns to a nightmare when a mysterious person targets them.

"A US citizen murdered in Mexican soil," agent Garrett told everyone in a briefing while showing horrifying pictures of the woman and her kids all dead. The next scenes further divulged that the victims were just one of those unlucky who got killed by the UnSub. As Clara (Alana De La Garza) said, they weren't actually the target and that he has done the crime to other victims hoping that he could get rid of himself of some guilt.

In related news, "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" will be airing its finale this May 25 and the segment will see the chief's wife Karen (Sherry Stringfield) and his son Ryan and daughter Josie. The kids are now off to college but what troubles the operative is the fact that Ryan is looking to join the FBI.

"It's hard for [Jack]. He's conflicted," Sinise tells TVGuide.com. "He did the same thing -- he followed in his father's footsteps, so he understands the family business aspect of it. Yet he also knows how dark the world is and the different types of things he's had to face in his career, the challenges. But he doesn't want to be a hypocrite and discourage [Ryan] either, so he's trying to find that medium."

The show airs Wednesdays, at 10 on CBS.
