Matthew Gray Gubler has been performing since he was little, and people saw his dedication to his roles, especially when he plays his "Criminal Minds" character, Dr. Spencer Reid. The 35-year-old actor recently had a chat with Glamour where he talked about how it is working on "Criminal Minds."
According to Gubler, he has always loved to entertain others, and he's happy that he's gotten this far on the show. "It's so bizarre it has been on for so long because in no way shape or form does it feel like that. It still feels like day two," he shares.
Gubler also said that it's been an honor to play with the other actors on "Criminal Minds," and they are all like family. "Joe Mantegna is like my Los Angeles dad. Mandy Patinkin is so close to my heart. Early on in the show, he felt like my best friend. Shemar [Moore] is like my brother. A.J. [Cook] is like a sister. Paget [Brewster] is my best friend. I married her and introduced her to her husband," Gubler said.
The model-turned-actor is also going to appear in an independent film, which is titled "Band of Robbers," this January, and has also lent his voice to Simon in the movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks." Besides his long list of talents, like performing magic and directing music videos and a few "Criminal Minds" episodes, Gubler added being a producer in his resume. Fans are truly amazed at how talented the actor is, just like his character, Dr. Reid, in the hit CBS show.
In the upcoming episode of "Criminal Minds," Dr. Reid will go out with Cat Adams; however, Cat has something else in her mind, and will play an elaborate mind games with the FBI agent. The summary of the next episode, which is titled "Entropy," reads, "The BAU implements an elaborate strategy to try and take down the 'Dirty Dozen' hitmen ring, with Reid playing a central role." Fans can't wait to see Gubler's character back in action since he's been missing in the last episodes of the show.
