'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Episode 14 Spoilers: This Week's Episode Inspired by True-To-Life Case
This week's story will tackle the mysterious disappearance of three young girls, and reports say that the plot was based on a true-to-life case.
According to the Latin Post, "Hostage," which is the title of this week's episode of "Criminal Minds," was inspired by the story of three young victims who were held hostage by Ariel Castro, a notorious kidnapper. The plot was pretty much similar to what happened with the three women that Castro abducted, and kept in his house in Cleveland.
Castro took Michelle Knight in 2002, Amanda Berry in 2003, and Gina DeJesus in 2004, who were only 21, 16 and 14, respectively. The three of them managed to escape from their kidnapper in 2013, according to New York Daily News, when someone heard their yelling from inside Castro's house.

In the sneak peek posted on Spoilers Guide, three young girls are seen being kept in a room, and Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) is heard saying that the girls have been there for over 10 years. The Unsub was saying to the girls that if somebody found out about them, "Daddy" always loves them. It's clear that the girls are trying to escape from their captivity, and fans hope that the BAU team can finally help them to get free.
The synopsis of the next episode was also posted on the website, and it reads, "When an 18-year-old girl escapes from a suburban home where she was held captive for years with two other women, the BAU searches for the Unsub who kidnapped them."
The episode was directed by Bethany Rooney and was written Virgil Williams. Guest stars include Daniel Roebuck as Michael Clark Thompson, Amelia Rose Blaire as Violet/Amelia Hawthorne, Rebekah Kennedy as Gina Bryant, and Pearl Dickson as Sheila Woods.
