'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Episode 21 Spoilers: BAU Brings Down An Abusive Social Service Worker

CBS' hit police procedural drama TV series "Criminal Minds" Season 11 continues this week with a brand new episode that will see the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) facing up against a heartless killer whose targets are young children in a social service establishment.

It looks like the profiling arm of the FBI can't get away from the shadows cast by a damaged social services system. Spoiler alert for those who missed the previous episode, the team dealt with an UnSub whose heartless actions stem from his dark experience in an abusive foster home. In the upcoming episode, the criminal profilers will be delving some problems brought by an elderly UnSub who used the social welfare system to feed her compulsion to commit crimes.

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Devil's Backbone," the Virginia penitentiary will intercept a package containing evidences that point out to the kidnapping of two boys several years ago. The curious discovery would prompt the officers to question the infamous Antonia Slade, the serial killer who Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) had put away 15 years ago. The BAU believes that the woman in question have the information on the boy's whereabouts.

Veteran actress Francis Fisher plays the criminal woman who set up a runaway hotline for teens. Once inside her care, the youngsters may find her ways of disciplining too violent especially when they misbehave.

A promo clip offers a glimpse on some of the intriguing moments in the upcoming segment. It opens up with an old woman being transported in a prison truck. Later on, she can be found talking to someone from inside her cell about some missing persons. A scene was then flashed to show a couple of boys who are in a difficult situation as one of them is sick. Dr. Lewis (Aisha Tyler) deduced that Slade could be "orchestrating the entire thing from behind bars."
