'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers: Dates and The Dirty Dozen

The fan favorite character Dr. Spencer Reid is expected to play a big role in the upcoming return of the series "Criminal Minds" season 11.

It was previously reported that Dr. Reid, played by Matthew Gray Gubler, will be giving his love life another shot. The midseason premiere of "Criminal Minds" season 11 is expected to see him on a date with Cat Adams, played by guest star, Aubrey Plaza.

However, it seems as though the date will not go as planned. It was revealed that Adams will be presenting a shocking surprise when she takes a gun out to Dr. Reid. The deranged date will then threaten Dr. Reid, stating that she is fully aware that he works for the FBI. With that, Dr. Reid will have to find a way to save himself, as well as the people from the restaurant.

Along with Adams, it was reported that Dr. Reid will also have to deal with the Dirty Dozen, who are a group of assassins. While there has yet to be any details on the group, it was reported that fans will learn more about it when the season returns next year.

It was said that the Behavioral Analysis Unit, also known as BAU, will be working hard to catch the criminals. Fans will see the group devising a plan to bring the group of assassins down in the upcoming episode titled "Entropy."

The executive producer of the series, Erica Messer, recently shared some details about the assassins. According to TV Guide, she stated, "You'll find out a bit more about them, what they've done and their reach. It's a long-term case and it's obviously on their radar. Writing about the FBI dismantling this group of people on Silk Road, but the idea that Silk Road's gone, but they're gonna find another avenue to exist on ... was kind of an interesting idea that was kicked in the room."

"Criminal Minds" season 11 is expected to return on Jan. 13, 2016.
