'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers: EP Teased on What Lies Ahead for the Second Half of the Season

"Criminal Minds" opened the second half of its 11th season with a big bang, and fans wonder what more can it bring for the remainder of the season. "Criminal Minds" showrunner Erica Messer provided fans with a teaser on what lies ahead for the rest of season 11.

According to TV Line, even if the "Dirty Dozen" has been gunned down in the last episode of the show — all thanks to the BAU team, especially Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) — the story of the notorious group of killers is not yet over. "The Dirty Dozen is not in play in the way it has been," Messer said. "But I can't say that it's entirely gone until the end of season 11," she teased. Fans wonder if there are other members of the "Dirty Dozen" that are still on the loose.

On the other hand, it will just be a few episodes to go before the show reaches one of its biggest milestones — its 250th episode, which is titled "The Sandman." The episode will be directed by the show's own Joe Mantegna, who plays the FBI agent David Rossi, and will be written by Bruce Zimmerman. It will air sometime March, and according to CDA News, the story will revolve around a serial killer who murders families. No other details were released yet, but fans are certainly looking forward to see what's going to happen.

Meanwhile, more of Derek Morgan's (Shemar Moore) past will be featured, since according to TV Line's report, Danny Glover will guest-star to play the FBI agent's father in the 16th episode of the season. It was long-established that Derek's dad is dead, so it will be an interesting to see how the show's writers will bring Derek's father back. Messer promised Glover's guest appearance will be "interesting." Thomas Gibson, the actor who plays Agent Aaron Hotcher, will be the one directing this episode.
