'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers: Agent Emily Prentiss Returns to the Fold

Paget Brewster is set to lend her presence anew to "Criminal Minds" as she assumes the role of Agent Emily Prentiss once more on one of the show's upcoming episodes.

TV Line reported that Brewster's character Emily Prentiss, who was once a "Criminal Minds" mainstay, will grace the show once more in an episode that will feature her reaching out to her friends after she vacated her post at FBI's BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) and decided to work for Interpol. In the story, she is currently London-based.

However, viewers should not only expect the upcoming episode that features Emily's return to be about a reunion of old friends. It turns out that there is a serial killer at large in Europe and Emily believes that this criminal is set on having his or her next victim in America.

Another spoiler for the show's current season, apart from Emily Prentiss' return, is that its episode 15 will have the BAU heading to Los Angeles after unearthing security footage which sheds some light on a case. The video shows that the victims themselves have actually invited the killer to their homes.

The teaser for the upcoming episode, which is titled "A Badge and a Gun," also shows that the suspect pretends to be an FBI agent so that he can bait his prospective victims into trusting him before killing them.

International Business Times shared in its report that Marisol Nichols will also lend her acting chops to the show for the second time, still, of course, as Agent Natalie Colfax. As loyal fans of the show already know, Colfax is an L.A.-based agent and her presence in the "A Badge and a Gun" episode will show her assisting the BAU in their quest to hunt down the serial killer.

Brewster left the show towards its seventh season finale. The last time she guested on the show was on its 200th episode in season nine. She is currently part of "Grandfathered," resulting in her guesting on "Criminal Minds" being long overdue because of scheduling conflicts.
