'Crimson Peak' movie: Villain is revealed as Mother Ghost
It was reported that the upcoming Guillermo del Toro film "Crimson Peak" finally revealed the villain for the story.
The villain for Crimson Peak is expected to be the ghost of Sharpe's mother. According to Dread Central, the Funko toy company revealed a hint on the film's character. The press release stated, "The story takes place in a weathered mansion fit for Mother Ghost." The Funko toy company is responsible for the popular Pop! Vinyl toys. The Funko toy company will release new characters relating to the film, such as Thomas Sharpe, Edith Cushing, and Mother Ghost. The production of a Mother Ghost toy hinted at the possibility that the character will play a major role in the movie.
Crimson Peak is a gothic film that takes place in the 19th century Northern England. It focuses on the story of a young writer named Edith after his marriage with Thomas. Under the direction of del Toro, the series will cover themes on incest, terror, romance, and supernatural. It is expected to portray the beauty of devastated love. The film will star Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowski, and Charlie Hunnam. Chastain recently spoke to E! Online about her co-star Charlie Hunnam. She previously stated that upon learning Hunnam's involvement in the movie, she was afraid she was going to fall in love with him. However, during the interview she said, "I did not fall in love with Charlie, press out! I do love him, but I'm not in love with him."
