'CSI: Cyber' Season 2 Episode 11 Spoilers: Emmitt Smith to Appear in a Cameo
Emmitt Smith, a former Dallas Cowboy superstar, will be appearing in the upcoming episode of "CSI: Cyber" season, which is titled "404: Flight Not Found."
According to CBS Denver, the former NFL player will be playing a bit part in the next episode, which is playing as "himself." The website said that Smith will be signing autographs for fans during the earlier part of the episode, and he will interact with Brody Nelson (Shad Moss) and Daniel Krumitz (Charley Koontz). Koontz even commented that the charismatic Smith "became the star of the show," because of his "smile."
Smith, who was also a "Dancing With the Stars" champion, compared acting to playing football, especially with the mental preparations needed while training. "Mentally, it's kind of the same because in football there's terminology you have to learn. Here, you have to remember lines," Smith said.

Meanwhile, fans of "CSI: Cyber" might get confused with CBS' lineup in the next few months since the last "CSI" show just lost its Sunday time slot to "Elementary." According to the Hollywood Reporter, the crime procedural drama has two weeks to perform well on its temporary Wednesday time slot, which will air on March 2 and 9. "CSI: Cyber" doesn't have a schedule after that and fans wonder if the show will get canceled.
However, Anthony Zuiker, the show's creator, cleared up the rumors and told the media during the recent Television Critics Association's winter press tour that he doesn't think the show will be canceled after the last confirmed air date of "CSI: Cyber." "We're going to go ahead and do 22 [episodes] as ordered and then you sit tight in May and see how the schedule shuffles around and you hope to continue. We have the biggest stars in television in terms of Ted Danson, Patricia Arquette and James Van Der Beek; it's an amazing franchise and a very solid show. Because the future of crime is cyber, there's no reason why it shouldn't continue," Zuiker said. Fans can only hope for CBS to confirm another regular time slot for the show after March 9.
