'Cuphead' News: Studio MDHR to Release Patch for Bug That Deletes Save Files
Developed by Studio MDHR, "Cuphead" is a run and game video game that was received particularly well by the gaming community. It has received stellar reviews from the critics. However, recent reports have revealed that "Cuphead" games on Window PC have encountered a bug that causes save issues.
According to Polygon, the Windows 10 version of the game sporadically deletes save files. A pattern was detected and it seems the bug is activated when users exit the game through alt-tab. Furthermore, the save files that were deleted often contained large amounts of data that has proven to be frustrating especially for those who have spent hours on "Cuphead."
Complaints are now flooding the Microsoft online store, as reported by IGN. Some of the players are threatening Studio MDHR to fix the bug otherwise they will be requesting a refund. Furthermore, the bug also seems to affect Xbox One users who utilize the accessibility feature of Xbox Play Anywhere. Considering this allows them to pick up the game on their PC, Xbox players found that the bug is currently in the Windows system.
Studio MDHR has responded to the complaints of the fans, and they have revealed that the development team is rushing to create a patch for the issue. In the meantime, players of "Cuphead" are advised to avoid exiting the game through the alt-tab keystroke.
Although this might not be a nearly satisfying workaround as having their deleted data restored, fans may want to wait until Studio MDHR releases the patch before attempting and succeeding in defeating another enemy in the boss-focused video game.
"Cuphead" is a game that makes players fight boss after boss in each level in order to pay off a debt they made with the devil. It was released on Sept. 29, and it is now available on Xbox One and Windows PC.
