Daft Punk 2014 Tour Postponed; Releases Remix Album on iTunes
It seems like fans of Daft Punk will have to wait a little longer before they see the dynamic electronic duo in concert.
Earlier this year, the duo announced plans for a tour and there were reports that they have been scouting for the ideal venue in South Dakota. They have allegedly set their sights on Devils Tower in Wyoming, however, their proposal was reportedly turned down since holding a concert in the area was said to be not in keeping with the tradition and values of the tribes that are living near the aforementioned location.
It is reported that a certain agency representing the French DJs approached Reed Robinson, the superintendent for the Devils Tower National Monument and requested for permission to have the concert in the area. The request was denied by the tribes who lived there.

"This being a night skies park and a national park and a sacred site to 24 different tribes, that would be considered sacrilegious and gets into that 'inappropriate use,'" according to Robinson. "And that meant maybe we would have to close portions of the main trail to facilitate this kind of stuff."
In other news, Daft Punk has recently made the remix compilation of their 2005 album, "Human After All" available on iTunes without any fanfare to mark the occasion, according to Consequence of Sound. The album was given a surprise reissue in Japan earlier this year.
The 15-track album features six different reworkings of the song "Technologic" including approaches by Peaches, Basement Jaxx, and Liquid Twins. The new release also features work by Soulwax, Erol Alkan, Digitalism, Justice, and Daft Punk themselves.
