Daisy Ridley News: 'Star Wars' Beauty to Top Bill 'Kolma'

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" beauty Daisy Ridley is top billing director Marielle Heller's second film feature, "Kolma," according to The Wrap.

"Kolma" is a remake of an Israeli romance fantasy telefilm titled "All I've Got" and follows the life of a young woman who takes the risk of falling in love again and starts a family decades after losing the love she had when she was still younger. After she dies, she is given two options on how she wants to return to the world of the living. The first choice is to continue the kind of life she has had, and the second one is to forget everything that happened after the chapter of her life when her first love died and be brought back to her juvenile life with him.

With the interesting twists and turns of "Kolma," it is not surprising why Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard had expressed to direct the film way back in 2013. However, now that critically acclaimed director Heller, who earned praises for her directorial debut project "The Diary of a Teenage Girl," is helming the big screen adaptation of the fantasy romance, moviegoers can expect the film to move them in more ways than one.

Apart from Heller, Megan Holly is also joining "Kolma" as the movie's scriptwriter.

Ridley is currently filming for "Star Wars: Episode VIII," which is slated to hit the theaters on Dec. 15, 2017. It is also suspected that she will appear in "Star Wars: Episode IX," which is scheduled for a 2019 release. She is also being rumored to play the titular role for the reboot of "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider."

"Kolma" will serve as a reunion project for Ridley and JJ Abrams after their team up in the global blockbuster "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as the latter has been handed the role of producing the film.
