There has been much talk surrounding Dez Bryant's back injury, and many were worried he would not be playing tonight. However, on Thursday he dismissed any talk of his injury keeping him out.
"C'mon, you know I'm going to play,'' Bryant said.
Those how know Bryant well will know that answer is typical of him. He has consistently played through injuries over his four year NFL career, and this season he is having a Pro Bowl season and nothing will keep him out of tonight's big nationally televised game.
The Cowboys will be weary of their divisional rivals coming into this game. The Cowboys won earlier on Sunday, making it three straight wins for them. Although they are still well-behind on 3-6, they are showing signs of life and could well end up above .500 come the end of the season.
The Philadelphia Eagles also claimed a great win over the Green Bay Packers earlier on Sunday, winning 27-13. That moves them up to 5-5, and if the Cowboys lose tonight they will be tied on .500 for the lead in the NFC East.
The Saints meanwhile are 6-2, but are being closely followed by the Carolina Panthers, who claimed an extremely impressive win just hours ago against the San Francisco 49ers. Things were a tense affair in their Week 10 match up, and the Panthers eventually won just 10-9, which moves them up to 5-3. If the Saints lose tonight against the Cowboys then they would drop back to 6-3, potentially opening the door for the Panthers to pull up alongside them and tie for the NFC South lead.
The Saints will be hoping Drew Brees wins the face off with Romo tonight. Brees is 213 of 322 for 2,672 yards and 21 touchdowns. His main target man is Jimmy Graham who has gone 746 yards on 49 receives for 10 touchdowns and an average of 15.2 yards per receive.
