For those who do not know, Clippers' center DeAndre Jordan was supposed to sign to the Mavericks during the summer but decided against it in the dying moments of the trade deadline.
As for the Mavericks, they got the verbal agreement and traded their valuable pieces to allocate for the arrival of Jordan to the team but then had to scramble at the last minute as they did not get their desired player and had a dismantled team in the process.
That did not go well with Mavericks fans and now, Jordan and the Clippers' first battle in Texas should prove to be a hostile environment for the team.
As expected, the Mavericks are going through a lukewarm start to the season. After the first seven games, they have a 3-4 record and are third in the Southwest division in the Western Conference.
They lost their last match against the New Orleans Pelicans and are trying to avoid another loss to the Clippers.
As for Los Angeles, they sport a 5-2 record to hold second place in the Pacific Division and won their last match against the Memphis Grizzlies.
They are now trying to beat the Mavericks for the second time this season after already winning 104-88 in their first meeting at the Staples Center.
