'Dance Moms' Cast News: Cheryl Burke Recruited as Abby Lee Miller Leaves
Now that Abby Lee Miller is leaving "Dance Moms" after seven seasons, Lifetime will not let it get in the way of continuing the show and has reportedly recruited "Dancing with the Stars" pro Cheryl Burke.
Earlier this week, Miller shared her thoughts in an intense Instagram photo caption where she also declared she was exiting "Dance Moms" for good.
Just a couple of days after, Entertainment Tonight said they had "exclusively learned" through sources familiar to the issue that Lifetime has decided to continue filming without Miller. Another ET source shared, "[Abby] bolted from [filming] three or four episodes recently." And to work that out, production team had to bring in choreographer Laurieann Gibson to continue the task Miller left.
On Wednesday, Burke was already spotted working for "Dance Moms" and was photographed sporting a huge smile just right outside Miller's dance studio in Los Angeles, California. Burke obviously appreciates the new gig she has gotten with Lifetime, calling it a "big change" for her.
Meanwhile, Burke has also confirmed all the rumors through a recent Instagram post where she is seen holding up a notebook and a pen while inside the familiar dance studio where most of "Dance Moms'" scenes take place. Making the confirmation clearer, Burke captioned the photo, "Do I like what I see? We got this. #winnersneverquit #dancemoms"
On the other hand, a representative of Miller has reportedly told PEOPLE that their camp has not been informed about Burke coming into the show as Miller's replacement. Despite Miller clearly stating that she is leaving the show, her rep said, "We haven't been told anything about Abby being replaced or released from the show other than seeing the stories run last night."
Miller had nothing bad to say about Burke because the choreographer claims she has only met the latter once. However, she is definitely warning Burke on how her work with the Lifetime reality show could turn out. On a separate interview with PEOPLE, Miller said: "I just know they're going to treat her a hell of a lot better than they treated me, for now. Give her six years, they'll talk to her like she's dirt too."
