'Dance Moms' News and Updates: Maddie Ziegler Has Not Watched a Full Episode of the Reality Show
In a recent interview, Maddie Ziegler revealed that she has not watched a full episode of "Dance Moms."
Ziegler is one of the best among the bunch of great young dancers included in the cast of the reality show "Dance Moms" in its earlier seasons. To anyone who has been watching the show, they would know that "Dance Moms" is a dance competition and an intense drama at the same time. Ziegler knows this all too well, which is why it is understandable if she thinks she does not need to continuously watch the show at this point in her life.
"Dance Moms'" main cast member is choreographer and dance trainer Abby Lee Miller who teaches her crew of young dancers for annual competitions.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Ziegler revealed, "We lived through it, so I don't feel like we have to watch it, and it was just so much drama that I don't want to see it again."
Ziegler does not forget that despite the heavy drama, there were a lot of lessons she learned from Miller. However, she also noted that her time with the dance coach and the crew of young dancers who were being trained to compete was the "craziest time" of her life.
"I'm really glad that I did move on from that, and I did learn a lot from her and we did have some fun times. But I feel like now, I've never been happier in my life," Ziegler added. She also revealed that being in the show has given her so much stress at a very young age of 11. And now that she is looking back at it, she commented during the same PEOPLE interview that it "shouldn't happen" to anyone at that age.
While she has clearly moved on from dance competitions and "Dance Moms," she revealed that she is still in communication with the other girls from the show.
Ziegler started out in "Dance Moms" when she was 8-years-old. Her appearance in the show lasted until 2016. However, the dancer became extremely famous when pop belter Sia enlisted her to interpret her songs for the music videos of chart-toppers "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart."
Since then, Sia brings Ziegler along to perform live on TV show performances, concerts, and music festivals. And the way Ziegler talks about working with Sia, it looks like she is having the best time of her life.
