'Dance Moms' Season 7B Premiere Date News: New Season Could Still Launch Earlier Than June

The last season of "Dance Moms" has been rife with speculations on whether the show can push part Abby Lee Miller's legal troubles, which includes possible jail time. Nevertheless, the show's production pushes on, unheeding, led by Bryan Stinson and his assurance that the series will carry on as usual, as best as it can. While carrier network Lifetime has not yet revealed a scheduled date for the show's return, an earlier air date may still be possible if the past seasons are considered.

The very first season of "Dance Moms" premiered all the way back in July 2011, and its maiden release date puts it right in the middle of summer in the United States. Working from this date plus the other release schedules of the later seasons for the docu-series, it might be possible to speculate on the air date of the second half of the show's seventh season, according to the International Business Times' reckoning.

As the new season is referred to as season 7B instead of season 8, it would not be too unlikely that the show will make a return later this year. The dance reality show has a track record of launching as soon as the new year rolls in — out of the show's current seven seasons, five of these installments have premiered in January.

The second season had its mid-series continuation in the month of June. Season 2B of "Dance Moms" premiered in June of that year. Another midyear refresh went on in the fourth season, where its season 4B launched in the month of August.

The last season of "Dance Moms" is a bit of an outlier. Making its entry on the month of November in 2016, it is obviously a couple of months earlier than usual for the 2017 market. Barring production and legal issues, season 7B could feasibly launch earlier than the speculated June 2017 release.
