'Dance Moms' Series Finale Air Date, Latest News: Lifetime Gears for Show's Last Episode as Young Dancers Move On
Is "Dance Moms" officially coming to a close? It seems to become their conclusion since Abby Lee Miller's imprisonment early this year. Now, it looks like Lifetime prepares to fold the controversial series.
"Dance Moms" will reportedly bow out on its finale air date on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 9 p.m. EST. Fans, however, will still be able to follow new episodes until then. The show will take a brief hiatus for the rest of September and then return for the second half of season 7 on Oct. 3 on Lifetime.
The cast hinted about the show's end over the past months ever since Cheryl Burke took over Miller as the dance coach on "Dance Moms." The girls won't also likely want to work with Miller anymore, even if she gets out of prison after serving her sentence.
Tthe young dancers experienced trauma with Miller as their coach, according to Burke. Some of the girls are also moving on from the show.
"There were a lot of tears, anger and insecurity," Burke told Us Weekly. "It was shocking to me. I couldn't believe these beautiful girls that have zero confidence."
Nia Sioux officially announced her exit after the latest episode of "Dance Moms" aired last Sept. 19. The young performer said via Teen Vogue that she has plans to do solo projects but acknowledged "Dance Moms" for training and preparing her for the Performing Arts as a young and budding dancer.
Chloe Lukasiak and Kendall Vertes also ventured towards other interests when filming for "Dance Moms" finished. Lukasiak got into acting and Vertes pursued fashion design, which means they won't likely have time to return for a new season.
Camille Bridges posted on Instagram in April that filming wrapped up for "Dance Moms." The girls formed a new group, The Irreplaceables. They will be introduced when the show returns from its hiatus.
Catch "Dance Moms" on its final run beginning Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 9:00 p.m. on Lifetime. The final episode of the series will air Oct. 31.
