'Dancing With the Stars' Contestant Eliminated Due to Medical Condition

The last episode of "Dancing With the Stars" witnessed a medical issue when one of the contestants suffered from a ministroke.

It was reported that Kim Zolciak-Biermann was sent home after the filming of the program when she experienced a ministroke. She explained that she went through a transient ischemic attack while filming, according to People.

Fortunately, she is currently recovering from the incident as she updated her official Instagram account. She posted a selfie with the caption, "Going in for one more procedure, things are looking up! Don't let the oxygen scare you it's just protocol. I wanted [to] THANK all of you for the love! I feel so overwhelmed with all the texts, comments, etc. I'm so grateful to have all of you! #TheyDontCallMeToughieForNothing."

However, it was said that the contestant was eliminated from the contest. Despite the efforts of fans to petition the return of the star, it was confirmed that Zolciak-Biermann will no longer be participating in season 21 of "Dancing With the Stars."

One of the show's judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, explained that there is no possibility of her return. According to Entertainment Tonight, she explained that it is in the rules of the contest that medical conditions, such as a stroke, will force the contestant to withdraw from the competition.

Inaba stated, "I feel bad for her but those are the rules, and you know, I am a strong abider by the rules. I feel badly for her, but it would be unfair to the other competitors. But I think it's good — not good in that way — but good in that now she can spend time with her family. 'Dancing With the Stars' is very grueling, and that's a serious thing to have a mini-stroke. I want her to take good care of herself. We wish you well, Kim."
