'Dancing With the Stars' News: Season 21's Final 4 Couples Revealed
The finalists of the ABC series "Dancing With the Stars" season 21 have been revealed.
The previous episode of the series showed Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announcing the couples going forward to the finale. With that, only four couples will be continuing into the competition.
It was revealed that Nick Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess received the lowest scores, along with Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough. Fans were expecting to see one of them leave the competition since they were at the bottom 2. However, it was revealed that they will also be continuing to the next part of the competition since Tamar Braxton withdrew from the show.
Tom announced, "As regular viewers know, when someone withdraws we eliminate no one. So you're both dancing in the finale!"
Braxton recently left the series because she learned that she had a medical condition that was more serious than pneumonia. Her partner recently explained that she had several blood clots in her lungs. Her partner Val Chmervoskiy said, "And if [they] go to your heart ... you die. What happens is, flying apparently causes swelling in the ankles, which causes blood clots."
Her withdrawal sparked the idea of bringing back Alexa and Mark. However, it was revealed that there will only be four couples competing in the finals. With that, the two bottom couples will be joined by Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold, as well as Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson. All couples will be performing a third dance. In addition, the couples will have a dance-off. It was stated that Nick and Sharna will be performing the samba against Derek and Bindi. Alek and Carlos will then be battling with the cha-cha.
"Dancing With the Stars" will air tonight on ABC.
