'Dancing with the Stars' Season 19 News: Alfonso and Witney Injured, Week 7 Dance Styles Revealed
Week 6 of "Dancing with the Stars" Season 19 saw "Mean Girls" heartthrob Jonathan Bennett and dance partner Allison Holker eliminated, leaving eight pairs of celebrities and their pro partners who are still in the running for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
Injuries are always a given with every season of DWTS, and for season 19, Alfonso Ribeiro and his partner, Witney Carson, both sustained injuries last week. Carson injured her back during dress rehearsals on Monday, while Ribeiro suffered from a groin injury. However, they managed to dance and still got the highest score of the night.
On Oct. 27, the final eight couples will be doing two dances for "Halloween Night"—an individual routine, and a team dance. Head judge Len Goodman, co-host Erin Andrews and pro Karina Smirnoff will also be back for week 7 of "DWTS.'
Here are the individual dances, according to Wetpaint:
Bethany Mota and Derek Hough- Paso Doble
Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev- Argentine Tango
Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson- Rumba
Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy- Viennese Waltz
Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd- Quickstep
Antonio Sabato Jr. and Cheryl Burke- Viennese Waltz
Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- no word yet about their dance for week 7
Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater- it could be a surprise, so stay tuned
As for the team dances, the eight couples were split into two teams, each headed by a team captain. The team captains are the top two with the highest average scores, and they are Mota and Ribeiro. Both team dances are Freestyles, meaning they can do any style they want.
