'Daredevil' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: New Trailer Teases Glimpse Of The Punisher, Elektra

The waiting game begins as Netflix and Marvel released the first look of "Daredevil" Season 2 featuring the series' new major character additions.

The new teaser arrived over the weekend (via The Rolling Stone) at the show's panel in New York Comic Con. The footage contains generally of highlights from the first season of the Charlie Cox-led superhero drama series. The last 30 seconds, however, was devoted to offer a glimpse of what's to come in Season 2.

In that part, the scene begins with the mild-mannered lawyer-of-the-poor, who turns into a vigilante at night, once again talking with Father Lantom (Peter McRobbie) asking the latter why he still feels guilty. The local parish priest answered him, saying, "guilt can be a good thing."

"It's the soul's call to action, the indication that your work is not yet finished," the priest added.

While Father Lantom delivers the voice-over, the footage revealed some of the familiar faces from Season 1 including Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson). Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) can also be seen with Murdock sitting side by side in a church pew. It looks like they are attending a funeral mass but for whom, it remains to be seen.

New and exciting aspects of the show are also featured in the clip like Murdock walking downstairs in his new much-improved, nearly impenetrable Daredevil suit, made by Wilson Fisk's (Vincent O'Noforio) own tailor back in Season 1.

There's also a short glimpse of Elektra, who is portrayed by "G.I.Joe" actress, Elodie Young. As for how the newcomer connects with the Hell's Kitchen's hero in the show is still unknown. But one thing's for sure though, as what the earlier reports indicated, the Greek will be causing headaches to Murdock.

Adding to the pressure is The Punisher, who is played by "The Walking Dead" actor Jon Bernthal. Clues thrown over from previous reports said that Frank Castle will certainly clash with the Daredevil.

"Daredevil" is set to debut in 2016.
