'Daredevil' Series News: Season Two Trailer Excites Viewers; The Punisher, Elektra Enter The Series

Netflix has finally released the first ever full trailer of its "Daredevil" season two and its viewers' excitement because of the inclusion of Jon Bernthal's The Punisher has definitely spiked up.

Days before the official trailer came out, viewers were able to see short teasers to the Netflix show and a tagline that says, "The time has come to settle all debts..."

While the synopsis for the upcoming second season of "Daredevil" isn't available yet as of this writing, it is safe to assume that fans of the show will be treated to action and adventure from Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and the rest of his squad, such as Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page, Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson, and Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple, as they go against new threats which possibly include The Punisher.

Apart from Bernthal's The Punisher making the Netflix series more action-packed as he reportedly plays an antagonist, Elodie Yung of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" fame will also fuel the excitement as she suits up as Elektra, the sword-wielding female superhero.

In a prior interview with Entertainment Weekly, Doug Petrie, "Daredevil" season two showrunner, shared his thoughts on the inclusion of The Punisher on the upcoming episodes and said that viewers are sure to root for Bernthal's character. However, as season two progresses, they will be thrown off balance and will ask themselves if they are supporting the right guy.

"Viewers watching the show will be rooting for this guy with a gun but we're also going to force people — the way we force Matt — to second-guess themselves," he says. "Taking lethal justice into your own hands in America in 2015 is tricky s***. We have not shied away from the rich complicated reality of Now. If you've got a gun and you're not the police you're going to incite strong feelings," Petrie added. He also said that they wanted people to think while watching their show so they "stir the pot."

Meanwhile, Marco Ramirez, another showrunner of the show, declared in his interview with Collider that the people behind the Netflix series are doing the best they can in order to come up with the coolest story for the Daredevil, The Punisher, and Elektra as they share the screen.

"Most importantly, we wanted to make sure everything runs through Matt because it could easily become The Punisher story or the Elektra story that Matt cameos in, and not vice versa," Ramirez says.
