'Dark Souls 3' Patch 1.13 Brings Round Plaza Arena, Takes Out Gameplay Bugs

Latest 'Dark Souls 3' patch now available for PC and the PS4, coming to Xbox One on April 14

Patch 1.13 is now live and ready to download for "Dark Souls 3," and it brings to the role-playing game various bug fixes as well as an addition that fans have apparently been seeking for a while now.

"The strongly-requested flat arena" known as the Round Plaza is the headline feature of Patch 1.13, and developers have released images of it via Facebook that display just how this new Undead Match setting differs from the ones already in the game.

Aside from downloading the latest patch, players will also need to have either the "Ashes of Ariandel" or "The Ringed City" downloadable content pack in order to get the Round Plaza arena.

As for the fixes included in this patch, players will now find that they can no longer invade hosts while they are in the middle of a boss fight.

One more bug fix ensures that players will no longer be able to use items that have been designated as disabled.

Another issue addressed by Patch 1.13 is one that could allow certain weapon skill animations to be triggered when they should not have been.

Gameplay adjustments are also coming to "Dark Souls 3."

One particular adjustment will give players the ability to summon a total of two Blue Sentinels or Darkmoon Blades while they are trying out the online multiplayer mode.

Players may also find that it is easier to interrupt and be interrupted while they are utilizing many of the weapon skills available in the game.

The patch also applies adjustments to different weapons, including fist-types and pikes.

New matchmaking rules are also included, according to the patch notes posted over on the r/DarkSouls3 Subreddit.

It is worth noting that while Patch 1.13 is available now for the PC and PS4 versions of "Dark Souls 3," those on Xbox One will have to wait until April 14 to get this particular downloadable.
