'Dark Souls 3': New Patch Adds Two New Undead Match Maps and Gameplay Fixes
System updates for 'The Ringed City' DLC pack also included in new 'Dark Souls 3' patch
"Dark Souls 3" players can look forward to receiving some new features prior to the end of this month, with the first batch of additions already set to be introduced this week.
On March 24, a new patch will be released for the notoriously challenging role-playing game, and among its many features are two additional Undead Match maps.
Developers detailed these soon-to-be added maps in separate posts on the game's official Facebook page.
The first map, known as the Dragon Ruins, sets players loose on a maze-like setting. Players who are able to quickly figure out the quirks of this map will obtain a valuable advantage they can use to dominate their opponents.
The second Undead Match map is the Grand Roof and the many obstacles located here will be ones players will have to successfully navigate if they wish to get the better of their foes.
Other additional features for Undead Match are also included in the newest "Dark Souls 3" patch, and these will make it easier for players to either team up or split themselves up into opposing squads.
The patch notes posted over on Reddit also point out several gameplay improvements that have been included in this downloadable.
Specifically, numerous weapons have been adjusted so that they function better inside the game.
Curved Greatswords should deal even more damage now, while players who prefer to wield Great Axes, Great Hammers and Ultra Greatswords should find that doing so will require them to spend less stamina.
An annoying bug that could lead to items and weapons becoming corrupted when they were sent to the box is also being eliminated by this patch.
One more thing, the patch also features system updates for "The Ringed City" downloadable content pack, so players who have purchased that or are planning to will want to download this patch as soon as they can.
Following the release of the next "Dark Souls 3" patch, players can then look ahead to "The Ringed City" DLC pack being made available on March 28.
