'Dark Souls III' Patch 1.1 Update Arrives This Week
Recently, developers of "Dark Souls III" have revealed that Patch 1.1 for the game will be released this week.
In a news update posted through Steam, it has been announced that game update 1.1 will go live on Friday, March 24 at these times: 6 p.m. in Japan, 3 p.m. in Central European Time, and 7 p.m. PDT (10 p.m. EDT). The servers of the game will also have to do some maintenance on the same day.
On the same news release, developers reiterated that patch 1.1 is a necessary update to bring bug fixes and to balance the gameplay in preparation for the upcoming "The Ringed City" downloadable content on Tuesday, March 28.
Aside from system updates for "The Ringed City," patch 1.1 will also increase the game's frame rate for PlayStation 4 Pro and will add two new maps to Undead Match - Dragon Ruins and Grand Roof gameplays.
Patch 1.1 has also added a function to the Undead Match mode such that whenever players use password matching, they will be allowed to group themselves into teams that have different passwords.
Once the upcoming patch goes live, various hosts will be shown in the bonfire warp menu. It will also add a function that will warn players if they have dropped a relatively large number of items in a single location.
Aside from additional features and functions, patch 1.1 will also fix several known bugs. Players will finally get rid of the problem that causes the loading screen to be displayed longer than it should when players go back to their own world after playing on an online multiplayer mode.
Another identified bug that happens in "The Painted World of Ariandel" during an online multiplayer session is when the status message does not sync to the opening and closing of the door to the Cleansing Chapel. This will also be fixed.
In the current version of the game, players can also enter the boss room at the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, which should not be the case. But this is also going to be remedied with patch 1.1.
