David Beckham Underwear Ad Paints Soccer Star as Hero (VIDEO)

David Beckham has become the super hero of under body wear based on a new H&M ad.

Beckham announced last week that he would be joining the French Paris-Saint Germain soccer club. The news has come just in time for a new H&M ad featuring Beckham in his most humble pose. The soccer player will appear, for the second time, in an under body wear ad for a line the he has helped to design with fitness in mind.

''No matter how many campaigns I do with H&M, I will never get used to seeing myself on billboards,'' the 37-year-old player told the Associated Press. ''It's always a surprise to me when I see them. I'm lucky to work with such great photographers and stylists, so the images are always the best they can be.''

In addition to doing print ads, Beckham will also star in a 2-minute video directed by Guy Richie. During the commercial Beckham accidentally loses a garment of clothing and is forced to perform some "super hero moves" in order to get it back. Unfortunately by the end of the video, the soccer star fails.

Beckham said the body wear was designed with comfort in mind.

"When we launched the collection, we wanted it to be a range of new classics that men could rely on," he told AP. "We spent 18 months developing the range and working on the product, focusing on fit, comfort and the design details that make for a great piece of bodywear."

When asked about keeping fit the soccer star also added that it is easier for him to work out than not work out.

"Keeping fit is really important as playing football is all I've ever wanted to do," he said. "I'm training a lot at the moment so fitness is an integral part of my day. I think I'd find it more of a challenge if I wasn't able to keep in shape!"
