David Duchovny Expresses Interest For 'The X-Files' Reboot
David Duchovny has expressed his excitement to join "The X-Files" reboot.
Duchovny said that he will be happy to reprise his role but not for a full season instead he would prefer a limited airing. The actor added that it may happen sooner and he even joked that the cast are now old so they won't have energy to shoot a full season.
On the other hand, Gillian Anderson is a little hesitant in joining the reboot. The actress said she needs to think about it since a series would take more time to shoot than a movie. Anderson currently lives in London and she has three children.

Back in 2013, filmmaker Chris Carter, who brought "The X-Files" onto television screens, revealed that he is interested in doing a film. The director added that he already has an idea for a third film.
On Saturday, Fox chief executive officers Dana Walden and Gary Newman admitted that there are discussions for another "X-Files." The pair said they are hoping to bring back the series soon.
Walden confirmed that Duchovny and his orginal partner Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles. As for the storyline, there are still no talks about the direction of the reboot. Walden added that the main problem is the schedules of the two lead stars.
Duchovny is in the new NBC shoe "Aquarius" wherein he plays a homicide detective. The actor also wrote his first novel entitled "Holy Cow," which will be published on Feb. 3. As for Anderson, the actress stars in the TV drama "Hannibal" and another crime drama "The Fall."
"The X-Files" aired on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Duchovny and Anderson portrayed FBI agents that investigate unsolved cases related to paranormal activities. Duchovny starred as Fox Mulder who believes in aliens and paranormals while Anderson portrayed Dana Scully who is a skeptic that relies on scientific explanation.
"The X-Files" received numerous recognitions from the Golden Globe Awards and Emmy Awards.
