'Days of Our Lives' news, cast, spoilers: Who will the Salem Killer be targeting next?

The Salem Killer is obviously taking dispensable characters in "Days of Our Lives." With Serena being the first hit, and followed by Paige, a number of other people could be next, specifically characters who exactly haven't been taking the spotlight recently or don't have any major plotline going on for them.

Starting off the list would be Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva), Paige's mother. Without Paige, Eve does not have much going for the current story line. Although Eve's exit can also happen voluntarily plot-wise, since she is already considering to leave Salem to begin with after Paige's death, due to the terrible memories that might surround her if she chooses to stay. Then again, if she is murdered, getting her involved can create a diversion for any pattern the serial killer might be making and can make that part of the story even more exciting.

Next on the list would be Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) who has already been rumored to be leaving the show since June. Since his character is still around, if the exit rumors are true, it could be that the writers of the show are still thinking of a better exit for Dr. Jonas. According to Serial Scoop, it has already been confirmed that he will be killed off, but the serial killer will more likely not be involved again. As to how Dr. Jonas will go, it's still unknown.

The last person who might actually be eliminated by the serial killer is Will Horton (Guy Wilson). Although Horton has already denied this, speculations are strong especially since his husband on the show, Sonny (Freddie Smith), already took his exit last month.

For now, fans can only await what happens and who will be the next serial killer target as Days of Our Lives continues to air every weekday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
