Days of Our Lives to return on August 22
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) is currently in hiatus and will return after the Rio Olympics. In the meantime, NBC released the official fall preview of the long-running soap to give the viewers a peek of what is ahead. It looks like fans are in for a lot of jaw-dropping and crazy moments.
Kidnapping and Murder
The DOOL preview reveals that Brady and Theresa will finally get their darling son back after being kidnapped. Tate is unharmed but many questions arise from the kidnapping. Once he is brought back to Salem, Victor will be arrested for conspiracy to kidnap Tate.

Although Caroline points to Victor as the culprit, he may not be as guilty as everybody is made to believe. Sonny for one thinks that Victor was set-up by Deimos. The kidnapping storyline, it seems, has not yet been fully resolved after all as there are still mysteries left to uncover.
Elsewhere, Aiden has every intention to use his new job as D.A. in Salem to his advantage. He will try to force a confession from Hope that she was the one who killed Stefano. Hope will be shocked that her ex will do that and they will have another epic battle.
Baby Drama
Days of Our Lives viewers will be given some serious baby drama. Nicole has fallen in love with Deimos and she will confront Chloe to ask if her baby belongs to him. Will Chloe be able to come clean to her best friend?
In the preview, Phillip is seen offering to say he is the father to solve Chloe's problem. He insists that he will be the most believable choice if she decides to keep it. This will also keep Deimos away from the baby.
The Biggest Revelation
When Days of Our Lives returns for the fall, three criminals Clyde, Xander and Orpheus will escape from prison. They will return to Salem to get personal vengeance on their enemies that include Kate and Theresa.
Xander will grip Theresa by the throat while she prepares to get married. It looks like she will die since the actress who plays her, Jen Lilley, has confirmed she is leaving the soap. Killing Theresa off might be the exit plan for her.
Orpheus on the other hand, will grab Eve and hold her at gunpoint. He will tell the shocked wedding guests that everyone must die. Clyde will surely go after Kate.
Sickness and Death
Meanwhile, Chad, Jennifer, JJ and the rest of the family will mourn for Abigail whom they believe was killed in a plane crash. Chad and Jennifer will go off the deep end that might cost them the custody battle for Abigail's son, Thomas.
Elsewhere, Kayla's life will hang in the balance due to a medical crisis, says other Days of Our Lives spoilers. Steve and Joey will be on panic mode as they await updates on her subdural hematoma condition. Kayla will be needing to go under a risky surgery but Steve and Joey will try to get her all the help needs.
Days of Our Lives will return on August 22 after the coverage of the Rio Olympics. It airs weekdays on NBC.
