'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Someone Confesses to Killing Nick Fallon (TRAILER VIDEO)

After the murder of Nick Fallon, everyone in the town of Salem, Illinois was a suspect. However, that all changes this week when someone finally confesses to the murder. But is it a sincere confession, or is there more than meets the eye? Read on to find out.

A number of suspects abounded after Nick was shot in the Horton Square. Everyone appeared nervous as he used his final moments to point to a small group of people, insinuating that one of them was the killer. Hope Brady began her investigation and interrogation of several suspects including E.J. DiMera. He seemed to be off the hook and have a probably explanation for his whereabouts and actions.

Hope then questioned Abigail, who admitted that she was with Ben in the Horton Square the night of the killing. Sonny was also thoroughly interrogated and was upset that he had to admit he was upset about Nick pushing Gabi into seeking full custody of Arianna. He was quite rattled when he ran into E.J. but managed to calm down and collect himself.

Unbeknownst to Sami and E.J., the hitman they hired to kill Nick was unable to accomplish his task and approached Sami while she was out and about. It was a huge surprise to Sami that the hitman would even be bold enough to be seen with her in public, and it caused her a great deal of stress. Plus, he could blow his own cover and expose E.J. and Sami's plan.

However, someone will make a surprising confession this week. But who? And why? Is there a larger cover-up going on? With plenty of suspects, it's likely to cause a wrinkle in someone's plan. As the time grows closer for E.J. and Sami to depart Salem permanently, could one of them take the fall for the other? And there's still the matter of E.J.'s affair with Abigail to be exposed. Taking the fall for murder could be one way E.J. tries to redeem himself and take the light off his affair.
