'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Someone Makes Surprising Return (TRAILER VIDEO)

"Days of Our Lives" fans are in for a treat when a blast from the past returns, and drama ensues when a father tries to help his son deal with his demons.

Eve Donovan makes her first appearance since 1991 and will be played by Kassie DePaiva, who previously starred on "One Life to Live" as Blair Cramer. Eve is the daughter of Shane and Gabrielle Donovan. The last time people saw her, she was leaving Salem with Frankie Brady to go and work for a charity in Africa. She will return to confront her half-sister, Theresa Donovan, who has been causing plenty of mischief in Salem.

Meanwhile, John Black tries to help his son Brady, who has been involved with Theresa for some time. Theresa and Brady have been busy doing drugs, drinking, and making love while neglecting any and all responsibilities. Last week, Brady's uncle Victor tried the tough-love approach, but Brady was unresponsive and didn't seem to care about anything other than his next high. Now it's John's turn to approach his son, but that will not lead anywhere.
