DC United vs New York City FC Live Stream (Preview): Watch Major League Soccer Online (Start Time)
The season is coming down to its final matches.
It is the Eastern Conference of the MLS and DC United host New York City FC at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium.
The match is on October 2, 2015 at 7:00 PM ET.
With only a handful of matches remaining in the regular season, teams are battling for their final positions to make it to the next round.
DC United are fourth and are only two points behind Columbus Crew while two points ahead of Toronto FC.
On the other hand, New York City FC are eighth in the East and are trying to make up at least five points in order to reach the top six by the end of the season.
New York have won three in a row but are finding life difficult as that streak is coming after a four-game winless stretch.
However, in their return to form they have beaten Toronto, the San Jose Earthquakes and Vancouver Whitecaps to keep their hopes slightly alive.
And their meeting against DC United has come in an opportune time as DC have not won in their last six league games – losing five in the process.
Their last victory came in an away game against the Montreal Impact.
Continuing their poor form may even see DC United drop off the top six in the conference and miss the final stages of the season.
In their earlier meeting this season, New York City won 3-1 with all their goals coming in the second half.
Alvaro Saborio gave DC United the lead in the 36th minute to silence the crowd at the Yankee Stadium.
However, Thomas McNamara, David Villa and Kwadwo Poku struck back in the second frame to give New York a big win. They are hoping to do the same in their final meeting in the regular season.
