'Dead by Daylight' DLC Release Date: Leatherface Joins Game

"Dead by Daylight" has officially welcomed the infamous Texas Chainsaw Massacre killer Leatherface and he is out for some flesh.

The latest downloadable content (DLC) adds the "skin clad maniac with a disturbed mind," as Starbreeze Studios described the serial murderer.

Apart from his thirst for blood, the newly added "Dead by Daylight" character also seeks acceptance and appreciation, a combination that made him what he is now, which is "a watchdog, a guardian, a blind gate keeper who never questions. And all problems can be solved with his chainsaw."

As per the official description for the "Dead by Daylight" DLC character:

What happens when the body grows but the mind can't keep up? A child's fears and anxiety, but trapped inside a fully grown man's body. A furious body wielding a chainsaw? Someone who knows what happens as you disobey your family. What happens if anyone finds out what's in the stew.

Leatherface wields the incredibly powerful and heavy Bubba's Chainsaw, which is considered his deadliest weapon not only for what it can do, but also for the fact that he can use it whenever he is in the mood to do some damage.

The DLC character also comes with three perks starting with Knock Out, in which his dying victims are unable to shout for help due to the devastation Leatherface did on them, thus rendering their auras undetectable to other survivors who are out of their range.

The second perk the character has in this "Dead by Daylight" DLC is called Barbecue and Chili, which allows Leatherface, after hooking one of the survivors, to track other auras located 36 meters away. However, this only last three seconds, but is quite a payout with bonus Bloodpoints given to him while a survivor is on the hook.

The last perk in the Leatherface DLC is called Franklin's Demise, in which the items by survivors depreciate their base amount of charges when they drop it during attacks.

Priced at $4, the "Dead by Daylight" Leatherface DLC is now available.
