'Dead Rising 4' DLC 'Frank Rising' Arriving in April
"Dead Rising 4" fans are already anxiously awaiting the release of the game's first downloadable content, "Frank Rising," which will arrive in April. The new expansion will see Frank in a situation he has never been in before.
According to Polygon, "Frank Rising" will see Frank West find himself infected by the zombie virus, which turns him into the very enemy he has been fighting against for a lot of his life. Now that he is a zombie, he goes through the city looking for potential victims to feast upon. And while a "former ally" does find him, he concludes that Frank is without hope as he is "incurable." Despite this, Frank stumbles upon help "from an unlikely resource."
This helps Frank temporarily recover from the effects of the zombie virus, but he knows that he will turn back if he does not discover a permanent cure. Thankfully, his predicament allows him to develop "all-new abilities and strength." However, it does come with a downside: his hunger can no longer be satiated with food, which means he has to eat others to stay alive.
While this is all going on, Frank also has to race against time in order to save the survivors that he loves. But he also has to make sure to save himself. Frank must accomplish all of this before the government decides to get rid of the city permanently.
Players who have the season pass will have access to "Frank Rising," but the DLC is also available for purchase for $9.99 for those who do not have the pass. After "Frank Rising," Capcom has another DLC planned--"Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf." This second DLC will also be a part of the season pass or retail for $9.99 separately.
For now, fans can look forward to "Frank Rising" being released on the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on April 4.
