'Deadpool 2' Movie Spoiler: Cable Sure To Join The Sequel
Ryan Reynolds' 'Deadpool' is currently breaking box-office records, but, this early, speculations and rumors about its already announced sequel are making the rounds online. Among the many rumors that surround the upcoming sequel, there is no denying that one of the most persistent and talked about is the inclusion of the popular Marvel character, Cable. However, it turned out that having Cable on the "Deadpool" sequel is not just a rumor but is actually a confirmed piece of news.
Cinema Blend reported the biggest spoiler for "Deadpool 2" was revealed on the current "Deadpool" movie after-credits. It also noted that during the production of the ongoing blockbuster, there were already speculations that Cable would be included on the first Deadpool big screen incarnation. Now that speculations about the participation of Cable on the "Deadpool" sequel have been confirmed, earlier assumptions that the character is being saved for the second installment of the movie turned out to be true.
According to a Collider report, days before the release of the blockbuster movie, "Deadpool" writer Rhett Reese said that if Deadpool and Cable meet, it probably would occur in Deadpool's world. Another "Deadpool" writer, Paul Wernick, opined that the sequel should not have a budget higher than $58 million, which was the budget for the current "Deadpool" blockbuster.
"We don't want $150 million to go make the next movie, that's not Deadpool. Deadpool doesn't lift cities up into the air or battle aliens coming down to earth, that's just not Deadpool. So we're happy in that little small budget range that they have us in; we don't wanna blow this next one out," Wernick said.
For those who don't have the slightest idea as to who Cable is, he is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey's in the X-Men universe. His most noted power is to time-travel and gather information from future events so that he can use it against his enemies.
According to The Movie Network, actor Stephen Lang has been vocal about his intent of bagging the role. As of this writing, there are no confirmed reports yet as to who would play the role of Cable in the "Deadpool" sequel.
