Deidra Reed Bomb Threat Over $14 Electric Bill Leads to Felony Charge
A woman is facing a felony charge after she threatened the electric company in her town for charging her an electric bill that she deemed too high.
Deidra Reed, from Oklahoma City, reportedly received a bill that she thought was incorrect and proceeded to call Oklahoma Gas & Electric to inquire about her high $14 electric bill.
During the course of the conversation emotions began to rise and things were said that were taken as a threat to the company.

"I remember flipping out, but I don't really remember what was said," Reed told local news News9.
Police were called in to investigate the threat that was allegedly made, but the phone call was not recorded. Media reports indicate that the employee who was on the phone with Reed was cooperating with police.
Police have stated that according to an OG&E employee who has agreed to testify against her, Reed reportedly called the electric company and said: "I am going to blow OG&E up 'cause y'all are charging me for electric I haven't used."
Police who visited Reed explained that they had talked with those individuals who had knowledge of the incident.
"The detective actually told me he heard [the call in question], so I can't really argue with it if it's me," Reed told News9.
Reed continued to defend herself stating that she was having a hard time and that the bomb charge threat seemed a bit ridiculous.
"I don't have a criminal record," Reed said. "I'm struggling to pay $40 a month for rent. How the hell am I [going] to buy some bomb equipment? I don't have [the] know how to make a bomb."
Reed has reportedly apologized to OG&E but stated that she still plans to protest the $14 bill despite the pending felony charge.
