Demi Moore Mud Bath: Actress Reveals Anti-Aging Secret (VIDEO)

The list of women who would like to look like Demi Moore at the age of 50 isn't exactly short. Just how does she manage to stay so youthful? A mud bath, for starters, which can have a number of health benefits, according to experts.

The actress was spotted over the holidays attending what is known as "Bikini Bootcamp" while spending time in Talum, Mexico.

"She put all the twenty and thirty year old women to shame and showed us she still has got it going on!!" Amansala's Bikini Bootcamp wrote on a Facebook post. "What a shame the press is saying she was partying and on the prowl, she was not doing either, just working out, eating super healthy and relaxing."

The campers also spent a day enjoying a mud bath together. Photos of Moore surfaced on the Internet, surrounded by a group of other women. All of the women are covered in mud. So what exactly are the health benefits of bathing in mud?

"One benefit of mud baths is their anti-inflammatory properties -- soaking in mud and its minerals can help alleviate aches and muscle pains," Sarah Siddons explained on HowStuffWorks. "Another mud bath advantage is the soothing effect mud and its minerals -- including sodium, magnesium and potassium -- can have on the skin."

While mud baths may not directly target aging, their soothing effects can be restorative, say experts. Certain minerals and nutrients in the mud can also help to detoxify the skin. Though spas may be expensive and homemade mud baths can sound too messy, it's nothing to worry about, says Siddons.

"A fun way to simulate the experience of a mud bath and pamper your skin at the same time is to make a chocolate mud bath," Siddons writes. "Mix milk, chocolate powder or syrup, cornstarch and vanilla and pour it under warm running water. Not only will the milk make your skin soft, but this 'mud bath' also smells delicious."
