'Demon's Souls' PS4 Release: Remastered Edition To Be PS4 Exclusive?

The official Twitter account of "Bloodborne" tweeted a mysterious image on Friday. The photo has since sprouted the rumor that developer From Software is going to release a remastered version of "Demon's Souls" for the PlayStation 4.

The photo shows a stack of "Bloodborne" and "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters" games. But what caught the attention of many is the game at the very top: a lone "Demon's Souls" sitting above all the "Bloodborne" games.

The picture could mean either of two things, according to Forbes. First, it may not mean anything but simply a nod to the previous game that started it all. Or second, it could be a teaser of things to come from the developer. Many are speculating and hoping it means the latter.

The "Bloodborne" Twitter account uploaded the photo to Twitter on Nov. 27 without any caption so fans and followers were naturally left guessing what it could mean. More than one queried or stated what they think the image means: a PS4 remastered version of "Demon's Souls."

There isn't much to go on from the picture, according to Express, but with an appearance at the upcoming PlayStation Experience and the "Dark Souls 3" nearing release, the publication says it is "a perfect time" to announce a new exclusive remaster of the original game from From Software.

Whether this speculation proves true or not remains to be seen. Gamers may hear about the remastered edition of the game, if ever, during the PlayStation Experience in San Francisco this weekend where a Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio producer will be present.

From Software hasn't said anything else about the picture on Twitter, so fans will have to stay tuned to the PlayStation Experience in case of any announcements from the developer or Sony.

"Demon's Souls" released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. On the other hand, "Bloodborne" games are a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
